The Busy Season

Composer Tim Corpus with Script Supervisor Joe Bleadon at the Midwest Film Festival

It’s that time of the year when lot’s is going on! It seems like every other night of the week is some big event or premiere. And while the season continues, more events are coming up like the 3Arts Awards Gala.

Congrats to all the folks during the Best of the Midwest Awards. It was awesome to see so many amazing projects get the recognition they deserve.

This year’s Chicago International Film Festival was fun as always. Industry Days is often some of the best times in town to hang out with old film friends that don’t get to see each other often enough.

I’d like to see Industry Days host more panels with post-audio included.

Strange Creatures of the Adult Wilderness” had its premiere in October! And now that the premiere has happened each episode is streaming once a week on Wednesdays.

Over the last year I wrote music for the intro as well as a few different episodes. So go check it out!

Jerry Gonzalez’s new film “Spaghetti Man” also had its premiere in October. I was the Foley Artist and helped Jerry design lots of gooey and gross noodly sounds. I don’t often get asked to do sound design work, but when I do it’s so much fun!

Next up in early November is the release of the “Ending the War on my Body” soundtrack. Stay tuned for more about the release. The album was mastered by the great Roy Campanella III.
