Moonshot

Moonshot

Super stoked to get to announce some new music that I composed last November. Commissioned by the band directors, and my old friends Anthony Graffeo & Vinnie Inendino from my alma mater Schaumburg High School, I composed “Moonshot” for wind band.

The Schaumburg High School band will premiere the piece on March 16, 2023, followed by a performance by the Harper College Wind Symphony on May 11, 2023 under the baton of my former high school band director Gregory Tipps.

Moonshot is a piece about hope. 👩‍🚀👨‍🚀🚀🌑🌌

Inspired by the efforts we took to reach space and the moon, this piece celebrates our achievements while contemplating how we will face the next great challenges, including preserving our home 🌎 for future generations.

Many thanks to Anthony, Vinnie, Greg Tipps and Greg Clemons for the opportunity to write for band once again. Band music will always hold a special place in my heart as it was the music that first inspired me. 🎶 I’ve been fortunate to have a lot of amazing music educators in my life, many thanks Ron Zemke, Kathy Konen Gomberg, Greg Tipps, and Kevin Miller. Thanks for the inspiration!
