Busy Days in July 2021

I’ve been off running around helping launch the inaugural season of the Opera Festival of Chicago over the last few weeks. It’s been a wild ride with sold out shows and the dreadful return of Covid-19 cases. But I am so proud of what we’ve done putting on performances of Il Segreto di Susanna and Dante 700. Next week we close the festival with Puccini’s “Il Tabarro.” At some point I’ll have to share more about putting on the festival, creating the program book, and all sorts of issues we dealt with as a first-year org. But that’s not for today.

Today is the premiere of my Fourth String Quartet by the incredible Beo String Quartet at the Charlotte New Music Festival. Thank you so much to them for their wonderful performance. (watch below)

I’m so excited to share the score with everyone now too!

Additionally, you can now pre-order my new album, MMXX, exclusively at Bandcamp.com!
