A is for Angela

I wrote this for my sister the night she brought my little nephew into this world. Similar to when I composed “Breath” for my God daughter the night she was born, writing was the best way for me to process and all the excitement and emotions.

Life is really fucking strange, it really is. I add the word “fuck” for emphasis because I doubt any of us would believe the wild twists and turns our lives make if we tried to explain it to our 10 year old self.

So if you need a minute to just sit and think about it all, here are 5 minutes to meditate on. Enjoy and stay safe.

Tim Corpus is a composer with a genuine lyric impulse. He writes music that is at the same time challenging and appealing - which should be the ideal of any composer. He has a wonderful ear for sound and for shape. This is a composer with a real and important voice.
