With the <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/cJ3ELeChZkY\">announcement from MakeMusic about the sunsetting of Finale<\/a>, I received a lot of concerned messages about what to do. You may have seen my <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/OcI5FO7jS5E\">video about how to batch export<\/a> Finale .Musx files to MusicXML for import in Dorico. It&#8217;s not a perfect solution, but it&#8217;s better than re-entering all of the music. Be sure to also export a PDF so you have a visual reference point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I did a new video about some recommendations for first steps in Dorico. I&#8217;m also planning some more TouchOSC videos and some live streams in October. I&#8217;m offering lessons in Dorico right now, and especially as I&#8217;m based in Chicago, I&#8217;m trying to help orchestrators, arrangers, and composers with moving to Dorico. If you have any questions about Dorico, reach out! Also, don&#8217;t feel pressured to switch to Dorico, there are other programs out there like Musescore and Sibelius.
