As both an arts administrator and performer, I\u2019ve worked to bridge the gap between artists and institutions. In addition to supporting well-established organizations, I co-founded both the <a href=\"https:\/\/operafestivalchicago.org\/\">Opera Festival of Chicago<\/a> and the Chicago chapter of the <a href=\"https:\/\/thescl.com\/\">Society of Composers &amp; Lyricists<\/a>\u2014initiatives rooted in my commitment to creating sustainable, artist-centered communities.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"191\" data-end=\"684\">Today, I serve on the Board of Governors with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grammy.com\/membership\/chapters\/chicago\/\">Recording Academy Chicago Chapter<\/a>, Vice-Chairman of the <a href=\"https:\/\/thescl.com\/\">Society of Composers &amp; Lyricists<\/a> Chicago Chapter, and board member with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ilcouncilorchestras.org\/\">Illinois Council of Orchestras<\/a> (Board President 2018-2024).<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"191\" data-end=\"684\">Previous appointments include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"191\" data-end=\"684\"><strong>Executive Director<\/strong>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thehpys.org\">Hyde Park Youth Symphony<\/a> (2015-2017 &amp; 2021-2026)\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"191\" data-end=\"684\">Youth orchestra serving Chicago&#8217;s youth from the south and west side. Established the first ever major partnerships with UChicago Medicine.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"191\" data-end=\"684\"><strong>Executive Director<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eartaxifestival.com\/\">Ear Taxi Festival<\/a> (2023-2026)\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"191\" data-end=\"684\">The Midwest\u2019s largest contemporary classical music festival\u2014set to return in October 2025. This year\u2019s festival will feature over 500 Illinois musicians and mark the largest commissioning effort in Illinois history, with 28 composers premiering new works.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"191\" data-end=\"684\"><strong>Co-Founder, Director of Marketing &amp; Operations<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/operafestivalchicago.org\/\">Opera Festival of Chicago<\/a> (2019-2025)<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"191\" data-end=\"684\"><strong>Executive Director<\/strong>, Lake Forest Symphony (2017-2020)\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"191\" data-end=\"684\">Led the organization to its first financially profitable season in nearly a decade. During my tenure, we celebrated the Symphony\u2019s 60th anniversary, secured its first full-season sponsorship from Lake Forest Bank &amp; Trust (a Wintrust Bank), released the GRAMMY-nominated album <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cedillerecords.org\/albums\/liquid-melancholy-clarinet-music-of-james-m-stephenson\/\"><em data-start=\"1049\" data-end=\"1068\">Liquid Melancholy<\/em><\/a>, and negotiated a three-year contract with the Chicago Federation of Musicians (CFM 10-208).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"191\" data-end=\"684\"><strong>Education Coordinator<\/strong>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nisorchestra.org\/\">Northwest Indiana Symphony<\/a> (2015-2017)\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"191\" data-end=\"684\">Launched new initiatives including a composition competition, a music educator award, and a community drumming event in East Chicago.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"191\" data-end=\"684\">Additional work includes with the Percussive Arts Society\u2019s Composition Committee, Charlotte New Music Festival, Orchestra Enigmatic.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1945\" data-end=\"2187\">My career began with the Chinese Fine Arts Society as Production Manager, where I produced performances at Millennium Park\u2019s Pritzker Pavilion, the Field Museum, and Navy Pier, while coordinating Chinese New Year celebrations across the city.<\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;
